Sometime in the late ’70s, a 900-foot tall Jesus came to televangelist Oral Roberts and told him to build a hospital. To do so, he exhorted his viewers to send in donations of $7, $77, or $777.  The City of Faith hospital opened in the ’80s and promptly failed.

A giant pair of praying hands used to sit in front of the entry in front- its design mimics the sculpture. It now sits across the street at Oral Roberts University, and the complex is now just offices. Bizarre offices. The building- which is the 2nd-tallest in Oklahoma, and probably one of the taller buildings ever built in a suburban area- has the say odd mid-century futuristic modern design as much of the ORU campus.
